The Sheboygan County Branch of Celtic Women International
was established August 29, 2007. Eight women who were of
Celtic origin or simply loved things Celtic, met at a private
home and decided to meet regularly to celebrate Celtic music,
art, history, poetry, sprituality and to keep it alive.
We started out meeting bi-monthly but now meet the 17th of
each month except for August, November and December. Meeting
times and place vary depending on the program and the day of
the week. We always plan programs at least two months ahead so
the members can put them in their calendars.
We do not have officers. We do not have dues. However,
attendees are asked to contribute one dollar at every meeting
that they attend to defray expenses.

The goals of the local Sheboygan County CWI branch are
those of Celtic Women International.:
- To recognize the contributions that Celtic women have made
to the world.
- The stated mission is: To honor celebrate and promote
Celtic women and their heritage.
- With this in mind we feature Celtic history, tradition,
art, food, dance and music at our meetings.
- MEMBERSHIP

We strongly urge our members to join Celtic Women
International as this is our parent group and we rely on
them for exposure to Celtic news from outside of our county
and the world. Other benefits to membership in the
International Group include discounts on events like the
Spring Gathering and a free copy of the Holiday booklet
which is published yearly. The Celtic Women International

- Locally, anyone with a Celtic background or an interest
in anything Celtic is welcome to attend our meetings and/or
become a member. Though we are Celtic women, we are not
opposed to men joining us at any or all of our meetings.
- Summaries of meetings and reminders are sent out
regularly by email. Hard copies are sent if a registered
member does not have email
