WORKSHOPS:
The workshops will be held on Thursday, October 10; they require
a separate registration fee and must be indicated on the Conference application.
All workshops are limited in attendance. Please check your
choice below and carry the fee over to the application form.
You must be
registered for the Conference to enroll in a workshop.
* "CONNECTING WITH CELTIC ART" - Cindy Matyi
Through slides and discussion, students will explore the history of
Celtic art from megalithic tombs, through the Bronze Age and medieval periods
up to the present day revivals of this ancient art form. Handouts
and literature will be available for continued study of the methods and
themes of Celtic art. Materials will be provided at cost so that
students can create their own designs. No experience necessary.
(9:30 am - 11:30 and 1-2 pm)
Length: 3 hours Cost $25. ________
* "STORYTELLING PART I" - Beth Vaughan
A workshop for putting a voice to stories from the Celtic tradition.
The class will provide a safe place for people who are starting to Tell.
Participants are invited to bring stories to work on, and/or material
will
be available.
Length: 2 hours. Unlimited attendance. (10 am - noon)
Cost $20 _________
* "STORYTELLING PART II" - Beth Vaughan
A Storytellers Coaching Workshop. Participants are encouraged
to bring a story to work on. Participants are encouraged to choose
a story from one of the Celtic traditions. An intensive session.
(2 - 4 pm)
Length: 2 hours. Limited to 12.

STORYTELLING WORKSHOPS I AND II
Cost $35. ________
* GALICIAN DANCE WORKSHOP
Four representatives from the Club Espana, led by Monica Garcia, will
teach the class how to participate in dancing as performed in the northwest
area of Spain. (9:30 am to noon)
Length: 2 1/2 hours)
Cost $25. _________

it on the Conference Registration Form.
If the workshop you choose is filled, you will be notified and
you will receive a refund at the Conference.
SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
Members who have a special interest in their Celtic heritage and wish to meet with others of a like interest, such as Story-Telling, Dance, Art, Performance, Small Business and others, will have an opportunity to organize their groups at New Orleans. Please place a check mark in the space provided on the Conference Registration Form and indicate your area of interest so that meeting arrangements can be made.
