WORKSHOP INFORMATION:
The workshops are held Thursday afternoon.  They require a separatie registration fee and must be indicated on the Conference application.  All workshops are limited in attendance.  Please check your choice and carry the fee over to the application form.  You must be registered for the Conference to enroll in a workshop.  If the workshop you request is filled, you will be contacted for an alternate choice, or the workshop fee will be refunded. **

Patrick Gallagher: "Celtic Studio Experience"
Using slides and demonstrations, students will experience hands-on and learn the unique symbolism and design techniques of the Celtic Art traditions.  No experience necessary.  Jewelry and  Celtic sun catchers will be created.  $10.00 additional material fee payable at the workshop  Cost $25.00

Jeanine Semon: "Breastplate/Amulet"
"A Woman's Sign and Symbol".  Open up your creative side (it's been there all along; we just need to dust it off).  Discover your personal symbols and make a powerful wearable piece of art.  $10.00 materials cost payable at the workshop  Cost $25.00

Beth Vaughan: "Storytelling Part I"
A workshop for putting a voice to stories from the Celtic tradition.  The class will provide a safe place for people who are starting to Tell.  Participants are invited to bring stories to work on, and/or material will be available. Cost $20.00

Beth Vaughan: "Storytelling Part II"
A Storytellers Coaching Workshop.  Participants are encouraged to bring a story to work on.  Participants are encouraged to chose a story from one of the Celtic traditions. 
An intensive session.  Cost $20.00

Friday concert tickets for the public (non-registered for the conference) will be on sale at the door at 6-30pm at $15 each. The public Concert-goers will be admitted to the exhibitors area before and during the concert.

1st. Annual Celtic Women's Raffle:

GRAND PRIZE:    ONE HALF OF THE RAFFLE TICKETS (up to a maximum of $1,000)
FIRST PRIZE:       Limited Edition Ashleigh Bowl, Connemara Celtic Crystal, Co. Galway, Ireland

SECOND PRIZE:  A Celtic Art Sculpture by Patrick Gallagher, Celtic Artist
THIRD PRIZE:     Two Full Registrations to the 2002 Fifth Annual Celtic Women's Conference in New
                                Orleans, LA

Tickets cost:          $50 for 50; $20 for 12; $10 for 5; $5 for 2; $3 for 1.

The draw will take place on October 13th, 2001 at 8.00 pm. Winners do not need to be present to win.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION:

THURSDAY RECEPTION: An opportunity to get your registration packet and name tag early; an opportunity to meet old friends and new, or browse the vendor tables.  A cash bar will be open.  The Thursday reception is open to all registrants.

FULL REGISTRATION: Includes all meals Friday and  Saturday, the Friday evening Concert and all programs.

ONE DAY REGISTRATION: Includes all meals and programs on the date of attendance.  If Friday, includes the evening Concert.

MEALS: Meal tickets for non registrants will be available on site at the CWI  information desk.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If a written request for cancellation is received by fax, e-mail or mail before September 1st, a full refund will be granted. (No telephone requests.) If the written request is received September 1-20, 50 percent of the registration will be refunded. After September 20, no refund is allowed.
**All credit card charges will be assessed a 10% refund fee.

From the west on I-94:
Exit at "26th Street" (# 309B) and go north on 26th to Wisconsin Avenue. Turn right (east) and proceed to the Irish Cultural Heritage Center on 23nd and Wisconsin Ave.

From the north, south or east on I-94:
Exit at "22nd Street" (# 309 B) and take Clybourn a few blocks west to 26th Street. Turn right (north) on 26th St. to Wisconsin and then right (east) to the Irish Cultural Heritage Center - 2133 Wisconsin Ave.

From Milwaukee's Mitchel International Airport:
Take a taxi to the Irish Cultural & Heritage Center on 23rd St. and Wisconsin Ave. or one of Conference affiliated hotels.

From Chicago's O'Hare Airport:
Take "United Limo Service," a bus that will take you to Milwaukee's downtown train station or the Marquette College Campus.  From there it is a very short taxi ride to the Irish Cultural Heritage Center on 23rd St. and Wisconsin Ave. or one of Conference affiliated hotels.
